Private by design, explained plainly.

The short version

Check creation happens in your browser. Print Checks Now does not receive your bank account number, routing number, payee list, check amount, signature, CSV contents, or generated check file merely because you create or print a check.

Information we collect

• Customer accounts and trials: your verified email, display name, plan, trial dates, usage count, Terms acceptance, and optional marketing-email choice. We do not collect a payment card to begin a trial.
• Optional encrypted account vault: an opaque ciphertext envelope, random salt and initialization vector, encryption format version, revision, and timestamps. Your vault passphrase, readable business and bank profile, and manually named print-profile settings are encrypted and decrypted in your browser; we do not receive the passphrase, profile names, alignment values, or readable profile.
• Contact messages: the name, reply email, topic, and message you submit through our contact form.
• Launch lists and payment-interest requests: the email and plan choice you voluntarily submit.
• Coarse product analytics: privacy-safe outcomes such as starting an alignment test, needing an adjustment, confirming alignment, attempting a print, or confirming printed checks. These events do not identify a printer or include profile names, calibration values, check contents, or bank contents.
• Verification records: a random verification identifier, cryptographic hash, status, lookup count, and timestamps. The signed check details remain in the QR link fragment and are not sent with ordinary server requests.
• Routing lookup: when requested, the routing number is sent to perform the lookup; an account number is not.

Device storage and cookies

We use device storage and first-party cookies for paper preferences, workflow progress, daily free-plan limits, printer-readiness confirmation, privacy choices, and anonymous usage measurement. These values are not intended to contain check, payee, amount, signature, routing, or account information.

Advertising and third parties

Advertising or analytics tags from providers such as Google, Meta, Microsoft, or native-ad platforms run only after you make the applicable consent choice. Those providers may process browser and device information under their own policies. Verification pages do not load advertising tags.

How we use and share information

We use collected information to operate the site, secure accounts, administer trials and plan limits, respond to messages, measure product use, protect verification records, and notify people who requested updates. Account, security, trial, paid-through, and access-status notices are required service communications. We use Resend to deliver and schedule those messages; it receives the account email, display name, plan, applicable account dates, and message content, but never check, payee, amount, bank, signature, or CSV information. Product tips and offers are sent only when you separately opt in, and you can opt out from your account. We do not sell check contents or bank account information. We may use service providers that host the site, database, security, email, or analytics functions, and may disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.

Retention and security

We keep submitted messages, signup records, verification records, and analytics for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, legal obligations, security, and product operations. An encrypted account vault remains until you delete it or request account deletion. Vault encryption uses a user-held passphrase; we cannot recover the passphrase or decrypt the profile for you. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit the check information sent to our servers and use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.

Your choices

You can clear browser-stored check data through the Privacy Center, delete your encrypted account vault from the account page, decline optional advertising tags, avoid optional forms, and request access, correction, or deletion of information you submitted. Use our contact form and select “Privacy request.”

Children and changes

Print Checks Now is a business service and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above identifies the current version.
