What to do

The QR signature and registration match. Compare every displayed field with the paper before accepting it.
Voided

Recalled
Do not accept the check. Contact the sender using a trusted channel.
Not registered or invalid link
Do not treat the QR as verification. Confirm the check independently with the sender and bank.
Temporarily unavailable
Try again later. Do not rely on an incomplete result.
PRIVACY ARCHITECTURE
The signed fields travel in the QR link fragment.
URL fragments—the part after #—stay in the browser and are not sent in an ordinary page request.
ON THE QRSigned field details
Verification ID, payee, amount, date, check number, and cryptographic signature.
ON THE SERVICELimited registration record
Identifier, hashes, status, timestamps, lookup count, and optional file hash—not the plain payee or amount.
IN YOUR BROWSERComparison and signature check
The page reads the fragment, checks the signature, retrieves status, and shows the four fields for a human comparison.
The public verification key is available at the official key endpoint. Technical availability does not change the physical-check limitations above.
SAFER ACCEPTANCE
Questions recipients should ask.
Does “registered fields match” mean the check will clear?
No. It does not prove available funds, account status, authorization, bank acceptance, or eventual clearance.
Can a copied QR make a fraudulent check legitimate?
No. A copied code can repeat signed data, but it cannot prove that an unrelated piece of paper is genuine. Compare every displayed field and evaluate the sender and transaction independently.
Does verification detect check washing?
This cannot detect check washing. It does not inspect paper, ink, handwriting, endorsements, signature authority, or fields not shown. Differences in the four displayed fields are a reason to reject the check, but a match does not eliminate other fraud.
What if the QR is damaged or unavailable?
Do not treat it as verified. Contact the sender through a known channel and independently confirm the payment with the issuing bank.
